Dark, Denouement
I will be curating a space that exists as a collaborative process. The stage will be composed of projections, music, and canvases to be painted on by anyone. The canvases will be surrounded by tarps so you can get as messy as you need to. There will be small paint buckets of varying color for people to pick up from the ground and paint onto the walls.
Bauhaus is a great example of a collaborative art space. A bunch of people creating in tandem with one another, with a united goal, is a beautiful thing. I wish to create that even if just for a single moment.
My (our) stage performance will be behind-the-scenes, meaning it will not be recorded and the piece itself will be one of progress and improvisation. As a result, it will be “dark”, or without an audience. We are all participants of the piece. Also, since it marks the end of the semester, it will be a denouement (day new mah). The music and projections are meant to be celebratory

What I like about this film is how little dialogue matters. The visual element of the egg is used as a design element.

Jodi SOD
SOD is an extreme modification or "hack" of id Software's action game Wolfenstein 3D, in which the goal was to escape from a Nazi dungeon. In SOD, Wolfenstei...
JODI (Joan Heemskerk and Dirk Paesmans) was founded in the 90′s. They have deconstructed Wolfenstein 3D down to its basic structural elements, leaving in the original audio but changing the gunners and Nazi dungeon into repetitive, black and white geometric forms.
Naum Gabo, Linear Construction in Space, 1940
This is one of many pieces for the lobby of a hotel that never came to be. Naum worked with nylon and other plastics and had an intimate relationship with space and time. Some of his sculptures moved in waves and activated with power.
